Walking with Cavemen featured actors instead of computer generated images, for their species of ape-men. Prosthetics and makeup were used to turn the actors into the ape-men.[1]

Lucy appears in the first episode First Ancestors. It is not known who plays Lucy, though it is possibly Possibly Rachael Essex, Marva Alexander or Florence Sparham.
Paranthropus boisei Leader[]
The Paranthropus boisei Leader is one of the main characters in Blood Brothers. He is played by David Rubin.
Old Male[]
The Old Male Homo ergaster appears in the third episode of Walking with Cavemen, and is played by David Rubin. He is the face of Walking with Cavemen appearing on many promotional images and DVD and VHS releases.
Old Female[]
The Old Female also appears with the Old Male in Savage Family. She was played by Suzanne Cave, and like the Old Male appeared on many promotional images.
Neanderthal Leader[]
The Neanderthal Leader is featured in The Survivors, he is played by David Rubin.
