
Ornithocheirus from Walking with Dinosaurs
Pterosaurs, commonly mistaken as "Flying Dinosaurs," were among one of the closest prehistoric relatives to the dinosaurs, sharing a common ancestor. Dinosaurs and pterosaurs both evolved from a common ancestor durring the Triassic. Unlike dinosaurs, pterosaurs evolved for flight, and flew over rivers and oceans feeding on fish and other small animals.
