Gastonia is a genus of herbivorous ankylosaurian dinosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous period in what is now North America. It was a close relative of the European nodosaur, Polacanthus, and like the latter, it possessed large spikes and osteoderms, which it used to protect itself from predators such as the contemporaneous Utahraptor.
