Protoceratops is a sheep-sized (1.5 to 2 m long) dinosaur, from the Upper Cretaceous Period of what is now Mongolia. It is related to Triceratops and Torosaurus but it is smaller and had a small bump on its face instead of horns. It probably used the small bump on its face, its beak and living in herds to protect it from predators like Velociraptor.
